About
From an early age Stacy always knew that she wanted to be a hair stylist. With three brothers and zero sisters to practice on, all of Stacy’s very early clients were accidental drag queens. Stacy learned how to braid hair on a Barbie doll and gave her first haircut in a bathroom in 7th grade. The plan was made: go to beauty school.
After high school Stacy strayed from her plan and went into hotel management and later on to bakery management where she learned that having fun hair and a flair for style was looked down upon and prohibited. One day after listening to Stacy complain about work, a friend said to her
“You’ll reach a point where you’ll get sick and tired of being sick and tired and at that point you’ll make a change”
That phrase echoed through her brain and she started researching beauty school the following day. In 2004, Stacy made the change and went to beauty school. Stacy says
“I wouldn’t change a thing. I learned a lot about customer service, business, and management in my previous careers, which has tremendously helped me in my career as a hair stylist. I get to meet new people all the time and build intimate friendships while helping them look and feel better about themselves. I have worked enough jobs that made me unhappy to know without a doubt that this is my dream job. I love it and I’m grateful every day”
